EIC cooling portfolio strategic plan

In 2023, the European Innovation Council (EIC) launched the Pathfinder Challenge call “Clean and efficient cooling” aiming to develop a range of breakthrough technology solutions for cooling to improve efficiencies, minimize the use of CRM, and explore system integration opportunities. The objective of the call was to fund new technologies in the field of cooling necessary to promote a strong consumption reduction and to avoid the utilisation of refrigeration gases with a harmful environmental impact. Out of the EIC Pathfinder Challenge call, 10 projects were selected for funding forming the EIC Cooling Portfolio (referred to herein as “portfolio”). One project was added to the portfolio steaming from the 2022 EIC Pathfinder Open.
