Dyman at ECTP Conference 2026

ECTP Conference 2026 (European Construction Technology Platform) was held from May 26 to 27, 2026, at the Thon Hotel Bristol Stephanie in Brussels, Belgium. Under the theme “Building Europe’s Competitiveness in the Built Environment: from Strategic Vision to Industrial Impact. The event welcomed more than 150 attendees, including representatives from industry, research organisations, public authorities, European institutions and innovation networks, to discuss how the built environment sector can address today’s major challenges while strengthening Europe’s long-term competitiveness, sustainability and resilience.

Over two days, participants exchanged knowledge and perspectives on the research, innovation and policy priorities that will shape the future of the European construction and built environment sector. Discussions explored topics ranging from digitalisation, artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions to circularity, affordable housing, industrial transformation, advanced construction technologies, cultural heritage, healthy and inclusive living environments, and innovation ecosystems.

The conference also provided an important platform to discuss future research and innovation priorities for the sector, feeding into the ongoing update of ECTP Committees’ Position Papers and the ECTP’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and contributing to broader European discussions on future funding and policy frameworks. The programme featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive workshops and technical sessions, fostering dialogue between stakeholders across the entire value chain and reinforcing ECTP’s role as a leading platform for collaboration and innovation in the built environment. The event brought together key stakeholders from across the construction and built environment value chain that discussed future priorities in research and innovation, share the updated Position Papers of the ECTP Committees, and also launched the discussions for the revision of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRIA).

A presentation by Emre Yontem from our partner Ekodenge explored the emerging opportunity by the collaboration of these two frameworks and the potential of Agentic AI services. The content of the presentation was related to the fact that the EU green digital transition is arriving fast: Digital Building Logbooks and Digital Product Passports are not future concepts but incoming regulatory realities that will redefine how buildings are constructed, managed, reported, and how value is extracted from them.
